Tibet can be remain part of China provided it has a specific identity says Dalai Lama

Tibetan religious leader Dalai Lama said on Sunday that if China could guarantee the autonomy and give a separate identity to the region then it could remain as a part China. At the same time, he emphasized the revival of Indian traditions and ancient history. The Dalai Lama was giving a lecture on the role of ethics and culture in promoting global peace and harmony in New Delhi. The program was organized by the International Council of National Cooperation, the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library and the non-political organization established in 1978.

In 1950, China laid claims on Tibet

The Dalai Lama said, Tibet has been historically and culturally independent. In 1950, China took control of Tibet. When China will emphasize our culture and the special history of Tibet, then it can be part of China. This event was organized on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Tibetan spiritual leader coming to India.

Worry on global warming and terrorism

Tibetan spiritual guru Dalai Lama said on Sunday to revive ancient Indian traditions and integrate them with modern education system. Along with that, he said that it will help in dealing with issues such as terrorism and global warming.
