Gurugram youth hangs self on Facebook live
A young man in Haryana’s Gurugram, adjacent to Delhi, gave up his life while live streaming the horrifying event on Facebook. He launched Facebook Live earlier and then committed suicide by hanging himself. The people watching him live were shocked to see this. However, they did not know why the youth took such an extreme step.
The incident occurred in Pataudi area of Gururgram. Amit Chauhan, 28, a resident of Jathauli village, was live streaming on Facebook on Monday evening. Many of his friends were also looking at him. At that time he was seen trying to hang with the ceiling fan using a bedsheet.
Seeing him live, some of his friends thought it was a prank. Some friends even sent funny comments and emoji. Suddenly Amit stopped that live feed. After some time he started another Facebook Live. In which he hanged himself.
The video in which he committed suicide was one hour six minutes long. Reason why he commited suicide has not been disclosed yet. According to Dainik Bhaskar, no report has been given to the police so far in this case. So no case has been registered.
According to the information, relatives of deceased youth Amit Chauhan have also performed his last rites on Tuesday. It is being told that Amit was mentally ill for the past two years. He was undergoing treatment at PGI Rohtak.
