Estranged lover kills girl for not talking over phone

A 22-year-old boy, allegedly killed his 16 year old girlfriend by strangling her in a village in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh. Inspector Rajaram Dubey, in-charge of Panagar police station of the district, told today that the 16-year-old girl living near Tilgwan was in love with Amit Verman, a resident of Sundarpur. The young man gave the teenager a mobile phone to talk to him.
On being informed about the relationship between them, the family of the girl took the phone away and did not allow any contact. The Inspector, told that the Amit, who was miffed at not being able to talk to the teenager, went to her house on Wednesday night and attacked her family. To escape this, the family members ran away and attacked the girl with a knife injuring her later he allegedly killed her by strangling her throat.
