A case of suspected death of an American tourist has emerged in Bhimtal in Nainital district. The body of the tourist has been recovered from a private hotel room. According to information received from the police, the name of the deceased tourist is Stephen Daniels (65). He was stuck in a private hotel. He came here on a tourist visa on May 30. It has also come to know that he used to frequently visit Bhimtal.
Private hotel manager Ajay Kumar said that information about the death of the tourist was received on Thursday. His documents show that he is a resident of New Jersey. When the hotel worker knocked on the door of the room, the tourist did not respond. After this the police was informed about it.
Bhimtal police station Pramod Pathak confirmed the incident saying that he is on the spot and is investigating the hotel’s CCTV cameras. It is being told that the body is two to three days old. Due to the matter being related to foreign tourists, the authorities are investigating the matter from every angle.
