British PM Boris Johnson cancels Republic Day visit to India

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has canceled his India tour. Boris Johnson was the chief guest on the occasion of Republic Day this year. According to Reuters, he has canceled his tour of India due to Corona’s new strain outbreak in the UK. He has also expressed his regret over cancellation.

Giving information, the UK administration said that Prime Minister Boris Johnson spoke to Prime Minister Modi this morning and regretted not being able to come to India. Speaking to the PM, he said that the speed with which the new Coronavirus version is spreading in the UK is important for him to stay in the UK so that he can focus on the domestic response to the virus.
