US Open issues statement on change of attire after Alize Cornet incident

The organizers of the US Open issued a statement over change of attire  by players policy after an incident involving French player Alize Cornet sparked sexism row. The US Open Referees have been accused of gender discrimination. During her first round match at this years tournament Alize Cornet replaced shirt which she was wearing the wrong way on court, due to this, the chair umpire convicted her of code violation. The matter was simply that when the women’s player was returning back to the court after a 10 minute heat break, she found that her top was worn the other way. After the decision of the umpire, people took to twitter, commenting the decision of the umpire to be gender biased. This prompted US Open organizers to issue a statement on the dress code change rule.
