Government to recruit 1020 nurses in Uttarakhand
1020 nurses will be recruited in various state government hospitals. The decision was taken in a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat. Considering the need of hospitals, it has been decided to make this recruitment based on urgency.
Giving information to journalists after the cabinet meeting, government spokesperson Madan Kaushik said that the health department needs a total of 5500 nurses under IPHS standards.
While there are only around 1500 staff nurses in the state at present. He informed that under IPHS standards, about four thousand nurses are to be recruited to hospitals.
But at present it has been decided to recruit 1020 nurses on the basis of urgency. He informed that keeping in view the need of hospitals, it has been decided to recruit.
He said that details of vacancy of hospitals for recruitment of nurses have not been sought. After the recruitment, these nurses can be deployed on the basis of need. Recruitment will be regular and soon its proposal will be sent to Uttarakhand Medical Selection Commission.
Process already underway on 12 hundred posts
The government has already decided to recruit around 1200 posts for the recruitment of regular nurses in the medical colleges of the state. Due to lack of rules, it was not implemented yet.
But after the approval of the rules in the previous cabinet, now these posts will also be filled soon. In such a situation, now the nursing pass youth in the state are going to get the opportunity to join government hospital.
This recruitment will be on the basis of written examination. Earlier nurses were recruited on the basis of seniority. But now the government has changed it.
Nursing teacher service manual also approved
The Nursing Teacher Services Manual has also been approved in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday. With this, the faculty and tutor working in nursing education will get promotion opportunities.
Nursing faculty service manual will benefit 42 faculty working in medical education department. Till now there was no Nursing Teacher Manual in the state, due to which the nursing faculty were not getting promotion opportunities.
