BSF’s rafting challenge cup begins in Rishikesh

A two-day Rafting Challenge Cup has started on Marine Drive near Shivpuri. On the first day, 23 teams from all over the country took part in the championship. Chief forest guard Jayaraj flagged off the competition.

Two-day 3rd Rustamji BSF National White Water Rafting Challenge Cup-2018 was organized by BSF Institute of Adventure and Advance Training (BIAAT) in collaboration with Uttarakhand tourism at Shivpuri Marine Drive on Tuesday. Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in the program, the Save Ganga and Clean Ganges campaign was started with BSF, school children and NGOs. In addition to the teams of the Army and Police Force, about 23 teams of government, non-governmental organizations from across the country participated. The women rafting team is also participating for the first time in the competition. The main teams participating in the championship include BSF, Army, ITBP, KMVN, GMVN, Uttarakhand Police, SDRF, Delhi Police, Punjab Police and Jammu Kashmir Police. Apart from this, teams of main clubs included UCCRA, HR, Expedition, IPRO and other local youth teams. Scout guides and children of NCC also participated in the program.
