Gurugram judge family murder case: Cops say accused accepts crime

In the Gurugram shootout case, the police claimed that the gunner, who attacked the judge’s wife and son, has accepted his offense. Four days after the incident, the police who came in front of the media on Wednesday said that Gunner Mahipal shot the judge’s wife and son in rage. Deputy Commissioner of Police Sumit Kumar said that there was a dispute between the Gunner and son of the judge for leaving the car and disappearing. Gunner fired after the judge’s wife tried intervene. He said that in police questioning, Gunner has praised the judge and his family.

The accused Mahipal shot the wife and son of Additional District and Sessions Judge Krishnakant in Arcadia Market of Sector-49 in Gururgram. The victim’s wife Ritu had succumbed to her injuries on Saturday night during treatment. While doctors declared her 18-year-old son injured Dhruv as brain dead. Dhruv is undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital of Gururgram, where his condition is stable.
Earlier, on Sunday, the police had presented the accused Gunner in court, from where he was sent on four-day police remand. Additional District and Sessions Judge Krishankant filed a murder case against Gunner Mahipal. Gurgram Police Commissioner KK Rao had dismissed Gunner Mahipal from the job.
