Uttarakhand daily corona update: 611 cases found on December 23

On Tuesday, 611 new corona patients were found in the state and 13 infected people died. With this, the total number of patients in the state has reached 87376. While the total death toll has reached 1439. According to Health Bulletin released by Health Department, on Tuesday, corona cases were found: 49 in Almora, 6 in Bageshwar, 34 in Chamoli, 18 in Champawat, 237 in Dehradun, 35 in Haridwar, 101 in Nainital, 15 in Pauri, 19 in Pithoragarh, 2 in Rudraprayag, 22 in Tehri, 30 in US Nagar, and 43 patients in Uttarkashi district.

According to the bulletin, five patients died at AIIMS Rishikesh, one at Kailash Hospital, one at Doon Medical College, four at Haldwani Medical College and two admitted to Himalayan Hospital. On Tuesday, 655 patients from various hospitals were discharged after recovering. As a result, the total number of patients cured has been 79341. While 5512 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals and home isolation. On Tuesday, a total of more than 15 thousand samples were sent from the state for investigation. Around 16,000 samples came negative while the report of 17,000 samples is yet to come. The rate of infection in patients in the state is 5.30 percent, the recovery rate of patients is 90.80 percent, while the death rate is running at 1.65 percent.


Situation not good in Dehradun

Dehradun is hit hard by Corona. On one hand, there are many cases of infection daily, on the other, the death toll is also increasing continuously. More than two hundred new cases have been found in Doon on Tuesday. The restlessness of the system has also increased when 237 more people are infected in a single day. So far, 25 thousand 949 people have been infected in the district. It is also true that the recovery rate in the district is also better. Of the total infected, 23219 people have been cured so far. There are currently 1524 active cases. At the same time, 811 patients of Corona infected have also died so far. Overall, the speed of corona infection in Doon and surrounding areas is increasing instead of stopping.
