Mahindra launches upgraded version of Scorpio
Vehicle maker Mahindra & Mahindra has launched a new variant of its flagship SUV Scorpio in Indian market. Scorpio’s new S9 (Scorpio S9) variant is the new variant. The Ex Showroom Price in Delhi has been kept at Rs 13.99 lakh. Bookings for new variants have already been started on all the dealerships of the company. It is expected that its delivery will start soon.
FATC feature is equipped with the new Scorpio
Talking about the features of the new Scorpio S9, the vehicle is equipped with automatic temperature control (FATC) feature. It has a 15-centimeter touchscreen input system with GPS navigation. The Scorpio S9 variant is quite affordable from this SUV’s S11 variant. But most of the features are given in it. The new Scorpio has a 140PS M-hawk engine, which generates torque of 320 Nm.
2.2-liter turbo diesel engine in the new Scorpio S9
If you look mechanically, there is no change in Scorpio’s new variant. The car has a 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine. The engine is equipped with 6-speed manual transmission. In S9 variants, many powerful features have been given similar to the S11. The new Scorpions S9 includes automatic climate control, dual airbags, ABS, cornering projector headlamps, navigation with 5.9-inch Touchscreen Technology System and ORVM with Integrated Turn Indicators.
Apart from this, anti-theft warning, panic break injection and engine immobilizer have been given in the car. Audio and cruise control buttons are provided on the car’s steering wheel. Veejay Nakra Head of the Sales and Marketing Automotive Division of the company says that Scorpio is dominated the SUV segment of the Indian auto industry. In the coming time, this dominance will continue.
Scorpio’s competition in the Indian market is from SUVs like Tata Hexa and Tata Safari Storme. The SUV Harrier, which will be launched by Tata in the new year, can also compete with Scorpio. At the end of November, Mahindra is going to launch its flagship SUV Alturas.
