Highest salary package of Rs 2 crore offered at IIT Madras

The campus placement of IIT Madras has increased by fifteen percent. In the 2018-19 season 964 students got record placements and 97 pre-placement offers. For the first time joining the top two hundred in the NIRF rankings many international companies, reached IIT Madras for the first time. The special thing is that foreign companies have also offered a package of more than two crore rupees.

For the first time in the ranking of improving ranking in IIT Madras, a record jump has been recorded in campus placement. A total of 1300 students had registered for the placement. Out of this, 964 students got a letter in the campus placement divided into two classes. It also includes 97 pre-placement offers. In the campus placement, companies like Microsoft, Qualcomm and Goldman Sachs have made the most offers.

Micron and Intel India Technology Private Limited gave 26-26 offers, Citibank 23, Microsoft 22 and Qualcomm 21 offers. Apart from this, 51 offers of startup placement were received. In it, 97 of the total 121 offers were accepted. Startup has given placement options mainly in IT (21 per cent) and analytics (16 per cent) sector.

This year, a large number of data science and analytics sector companies came to the campus, which is a clear sign of the new trend of the industry. Core and information technology sector companies show interest in campus placement 55 offers in the data science campus held in two sessions. 364 students received offers in the PG program, compared to 274 last year. Apart from this, 21 students received letter in international offer.
