Tik Tok banned in India

India has banned Tik Tok app. Apple and Google have removed Tik Tok from their store after the order of Madras High Court. After this, #TikTokban hashtag is trending on Twitter and people are doing quite a lot of comments. Funny Memes are also being shared too.

The TikTok app became popular in India quite soon. People from small towns and villages also joined this app. However, on the allegations of promoting pornography, the Madras High Court ordered TikTok to be banned and asked the central government to ban the download of this app.

The decision came when a person filed a PIL for the ban on the app. According to an IT Ministry official, the Center sent a letter to Apple and Google to follow the order of the High Court. The government has asked Google and Apple to follow the order of the Madras High Court in which the popular mobile app stamp has been banned.

Tik Tok apps in India were still available on Apple platforms till late Tuesday, but was not available on Google’s Play Store. Google said in a statement that it does not comment on this application but abides by local laws.

Madras High Court had said in its order that media reports clearly show that through this kind of mobile app, porn and inappropriate content has been made available. The court also directed the media not to broadcast the video made with Tik TOk. Please tell that the Tik Tok is owned by a Chinese company Bytedance. This app lets people make small videos and share them. In a statement on Tuesday, Til Tok said that he had full confidence in the Indian judicial system.
