State level boxing tournament in Haridwar from May 17

State level boxing competition is being organized by the Haridwar Boxing Association on May 17. In the competition being held at SM Public School, 200 participants from across the state will participate.

In a meeting organized on Tuesday, the president of Haridwar Boxing Association Dr Vishal Garg told that the competition will be organized in the field of SM Public School, Jagjitpur. All the districts and sports hostels of the state will participate in the three-day competition organized in the boys and girls section. 130 children in the boys category and 70 in the girls category will show their talent in the competition. Six players from Haridwar will participate in the boys category and one player will participate in the girls category.

In the competition winners will be honored by giving attractive gifts to all the players. Patron Arvind Panwar and Sachin Arora said that the interest in boxing has gone up in India. Secretary Naveen Chauhan said that the competition will be inaugurated from 4 pm.
