India reeling under severe heat wave; temperature crosses 50 in Churu

Fierce heat wave continues throughout India. In view of the outbreak of heat, the Red Alert has been issued in Rajasthan and Vidarbha and Orange Alert has been issued for Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. In Churu of western Rajasthan, mercury touched 50.8 degree Celsius. At the same time, the temperature crossed the half century near the India-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer. 30 people have died due to heat throughout the country.

Due to hot winds coming from Thar desert, the temperature is increasing. The weather department says that the temperature may fall after June 3. Monsoon will also come with a delay of one week and it will be normal. It is expected that there will be rains after June 6. Meanwhile, Lucknow’s Meteorological Department said that in the next three hours, rainfall in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow, Sitapur, Hardoi, Barabanki and surrounding areas can be accompanied with hail and heavy winds.

Drought crisis in Karnataka

Karnataka of South India is in grip of severe drought. Karnataka’s HD Kumaraswamy Government has issued a circular and has ordered to perform Yagya in all the temples of the state for a good monsoon. Every temple has been asked to perform special pooja, which does not cost more than Rs. 10001.

In Hubli area of Karnataka, the farmers have been forced to sell cows due to drought. Farmers say, “We have nothing to feed the cows. There is no rain If we are not able to sow anything then what do they feed? We have come here to sell cows but there is no good price. “

It is being told that monsoon through Bengal Bay, Arabian Sea and Andaman and Nicobar islands will reach Kerala by 6th June. The Meteorological Department has estimated the monsoon to be normal. In India, annual rainfall is 70% during monsoon, which is very important for agriculture.

The Meteorological Department estimates that there will be rains with the thunderstorms in the north eastern regions and the southern peninsula over the next 3-5 days. The MeT department said, “There is no hope of rains in Delhi and according to estimates, mercury can remain 46 degrees Celsius here. It can be gradually reduced. “

Due to the slow pace of monsoon, it is estimated to reach Kerala more late than expected. Monsoon can knock on Kerala on June 7. Private weather forecast agency Skymet has made changes in its previously released forecast. The agency had earlier told that rainy season will start on June 4 when the monsoon arrives in Kerala. The agency had also anticipated that it would be two days ahead.

Skymet has said, “But the current weather conditions indicate that the monsoon will now reach around June 7. It can stay two days ahead. ‘ Indian Meteorological Department has said that monsoon can reach Kerala by June 6. The department has also estimated it could be delayed or reach early by two days.

GP Sharma, president of Meteorological and Climate Change of Skymet Weather said, “The change in the speed of monsoon is continuing. In fact, for a few more days to become a favorable situation, one of the three criteria required for the announcement of the arrival of monsoon has not yet been completed.”

Sharma mentioned three main reasons for the slow pace of monsoon. There is a downstream area in the Somalia coast of Africa which is affecting the pattern of air.

The system has ended the humidity and obstruction in the direction of air reaching Kerala over the Western Arabian Sea. Apart from this, there is no favorable situation due to the high pressure created above the Middle Arabian Sea.
