ITR 2018-19 filing date extended till August 31

Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the last date for filing an Income Tax return from 31 July to 31 August.

Filing ITR for F.Y 2018-19 after 31 August could lead to a fine. It is therefore necessary to file the ITR form at the earliest. However, for this, some documents like Form 16 and Pan Card will be needed, which can be simplified by mobilizing it together.

Under the new rules, you will have to file income tax returns every year. You can file an ITR and get discounts on income up to Rs 5 lakh under Section 87A, but you will have to do an ITR file after earning 2.5 lakh a year. If you do not file an ITR, you may have to face the notice or penalty of income tax department.

Before the ITR filing, income tax department gives some urgent tips. By doing this, you can file an ITR without hassle. It is reported on the website of the Income Tax Department that when entering information in the ITR form, do not click on the back button or backspace in the browser. You’ll be logged out if you do this. After this you will have to repeat the same procedure again.

Apart from this, if you are giving details of your salaried or earning money in the form, then it should be in Indian Rupee. Even if you earn in dollars or other currencies, convert it to Rupee and then enter it in the form. B
