Raseelo Pahad brings flavor of Uttarakhand in Bengaluru

On Sunday 21 July’19 when a bunch of enthusiastic youths organized ‘Raseelo Pahad’ program in Uttarkhand Bhawan, which is one of the hub of Uttarakhand’s identity in Bengaluru, along with the Uttarakhand Sankskratik Parishad team, which is one of the oldest Uttarakhand institution in the state, which reminded all the Uttarakhand people living in the city of the old gold days of their native villages in Devbhoomi.

The occasion was “Raseelo Pahad” program in Bengaluru where people participated in the gathering and enjoyed Authentic Uttarakhandi Cusine. Bhatt ki Chudkani, Aaloo ke Gutke, Pahadi Badi ki Sabzi, Rai wala Raita, Mandhue ki Roti, Bhang ki Chatni and Jhungore ki Kheer was served.

The responsibility of cooking was taken by Chef Devendra Ratudi and his team from Uttarakhand, Gaurav Singh, Devendra Singh and Deepak Singh, who are employed in a 5-star hotel in Bangalore. People residing around Uttarakhand Bhawan joined the team and participated in the work and did not leave any stone un-turned to make the program a memorable one.

The food was served on traditional leaf plates (pattal) and was eaten while sitting on floor as per the Uttarakhandi tradition. People came in traditional attire to make the atmosphere even more memorable.

The program was also attended by Dr. Deepak Joshi, Colonel Divya Darshan Pande (retired), Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyaya, Captain Rajender Singh (retired), Colonel Dimri (retired), Commander Ratudi (Retired). Everyone appreciated Team USP for the wonderful programme and the authentic Uttarakhandi cuisine.
