Ranikhet Autumn fair to start from September 30
On the completion of 150 years of the establishment of Ranikhet, the date of the proposed Autumn Fair has been fixed. Now the festival will be held from September 30 to October 6 at Army’s Narsingh Maidan. The Joint Magistrate has constituted various committees for the Autumn Fair by meeting the functionaries of the organizing committees of various festivals. It was decided that all the activities would be organized to make the festival grand.
People associated with various organizations attended the meeting held in the Tehsil campus in Ranikhet. Joint Magistrate Narendra Bhandari said that the fair will be held from September 30 to October 6. Ground has been provided by the army. In the meeting, coordinators of cultural, finance, sports, publicity, stage operation, reception, souvenir and bike rally committees were nominated to give a grand appearance to the Autumn fair.
Now the convenor will prepare a team of its committees and inform the Joint Magistrate soon. The Joint Magistrate said that the Autumn Fair is to be held in Ranikhet till 6 October. On seven, eight, nine October, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Woman Bike, Scooty rally will be taken out. Which will go from Ranikhet to Almora. The meeting deliberated on giving a grand appearance to the fair.
