MS Dhoni spotted back in the nets in Ranchi

Much to the delight of his legions of fans former Indian team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) has lifted his bat after a long time. MS Dhoni stayed away from cricket after the semi-finals of the World Cup played in England and Wales. MS Dhoni last held his bat on 10 July 2019. He has since abstained from international cricket prompting many to believe that they had seen the last of Mahi.

Actually, MS Dhoni has started his practice. On Friday 15 November, MS Dhoni has started practice at the stadium of Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA). The surprising thing is that wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni tried his hand at the lawn tennis tournament a day earlier and also won the title with his partner.

However, the video of MS Dhoni’s return to practice session has been shared by Mahi’s Fan Club on Twitter. A few seconds of video has been shared on this Twitter handle named MS Dhoni Fan Official. It is also written in its caption that after a long time Dhoni started his first net session.

 

Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also tried his hand in lawn tennis. MS Dhoni has won the doubles title of the Country Club Tennis tournament for the second time in a row with his partner Sumit Kumar. The pair of Dhoni and Sumit defeated the pair of Santosh Singh and Kanchan Singh 2–0 in straight sets in the final.

The final match played at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi on Thursday saw Dhoni and Sumit in full form. In the first set, the pair of brothers Santosh Singh and Kanchan Singh of Union Club of Dhanbad were easily defeated 6–0. The duo were able to offer little resistance to the defending champions in the second set as well. The set was won 6–1 by the pair of Dhoni and Sumit.
