Odd-Even formula effect: Govt office timings changed

The Delhi government has made changes in the time of its offices for the Odd-Even rule. 21 departments will work from 9:30 am to 6 pm. Some departments will work from 10:30 am to 7 pm. Odd-even rule will be applicable from 4 November to 15 November in Delhi.

The Delhi High Court has given the green signal to Odd-Even plan. Along with this, the High Court rejected the petition to cancel the exemption granted to CNG vehicles. However, the High Court has agreed to hear the problems related to the odd-even scheme.

Permission granted in high court

The Delhi High Court also gave notice to the Delhi government during the hearing in this case, but the counsel for the Delhi government said that the petitioners did not come to the government to present their views, but they filed a public interest petition directly in the court. After this, the court modified its order and asked the petitioners to go to the Delhi government and give representation.

Relaxation for women

Significantly, the state government is going to bring Odd-Even to control pollution in Delhi. Odd-Even will be applicable from 4 to 15 November in Delhi. Women are exempted from this odd-even plan . Any woman driving a vehicle will be exempted from Odd-Even plan. A vehicle in which a woman has a child up to 12 years of age will also get relaxation. This time, odd-even will be applicable on private CNG cars.

Two-wheeler to be also exempted from odd-even

Apart from this, the Kejriwal government has also taken another important decision in the matter of giving exemption during the Odd-Even scheme. According to Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot, the government has decided to exempt two-wheelers from the Odd-Even scheme.

However, the Transport Department had sent a suggestion to give relaxation to two-wheelers from 8 to 11 in the morning and from 5 to 8 in the evening, but this decision has been taken in view of the existing transport system in Delhi. The number of two-wheelers in Delhi is more than 60 lakhs.

Recently Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that women will be given exemption in view of security in the Odd-Even scheme, which will be implemented from 4 to 15 November in Delhi. Also, the Chief Minister announced not to give exemptions to private CNG vehicles. In order to save people from trouble during Odd-Even, Delhi Government has also made arrangements for 2 thousand buses.
