Literature fest in Haridwar from 10 to 12 January

Preparations are underway for the Literature Festival to be held in Haridwar from 10 to 12 January at Gurukul Kangri University. Along with litterateurs from various states of India, litterateurs from Nepal and Bhutan will also be a part of this unique event. Local litterateurs and artists will also be provided a platform in this event.

Prof. Director of Haridwar Literature Festival at Senate Hall of Gurukul Kangri University. Shravan Kumar Sharma told in the press conference that the basic objective of this festival is to awaken the consciousness of literature among the people who have turned away from literature.

The Haridwar Literature Festival will be a bridge to connect society and educational institutions with literature. The festival will be inaugurated by filmmaker and lyricist Sameer Anjan. Sameer has presented poetry and lyrics in 600 films. Apart from this, a session will be organized for women’s upliftment in the women’s literary and writer Preeta M. Thakur, Ruby Gupta, Shashi Thakur, Anga Joglekar and Aparna Sharma at the festival.
