Minor sisters kill younger brother to avoid looking after him

Four days ago in Jwalapur, it was found that a one and a half year old child was not kidnapped but murdered. The infant was killed by his real sister and another cousin. Both sisters are minors. Both of them fed the child with a sleeping pill and threw him in Gangnahar from Lalpul. The accused sisters told the police in their statements that they had done so because they were fed up by taking care of the child. After the parents went to work, both sisters had to take care of the child.

On Monday, SSP Senthil Abudai Krishnaraj S disclosed the case, saying that on November 29, a one and a half year old child sleeping in the house had gone missing in Jwalapur Kotwali area. On the complaint of the family, the police started the investigation by registering a kidnapping case. The family had told that the child was kidnapped at 5 am on November 29.

Police investigated footage of the surrounding CCTV. In which at five o’clock that day, the police saw the child’s 14-year-old real sister and 12-year-old cousin. While leaving the house, the sister had a bag in her hand. There was no bag on the way back. The police questioned the two sisters in private. Both sisters confessed their crime in front of the police and family members.

The sisters said that on the night of November 28, the brother’s milk was mixed with sleep inducing drugs and fed him. On the morning of 29 November, the child was picked up from the room and thrown from Lalpul Jwalapur into Gangnahar. The sisters reported that both of them had to take care of the brother after the mother and father went to work. The real sister also told the police that since the birth of her brother, she was getting less love for mother and father. The SSP informed that both the minor sisters are being sent to the Child Improvement Home.
