Leopard spotted near residential area in Rudrapur

A leopard was seen in the 46th Corps PAC and police line after seeing a tiger along with a leopard near the Rudrapur Collectorate’s residential complex. Leopard footprints were also found in the police line. On this, forest personnel as well as police personnel also searched for the animal, but it was not found. According to forest officials, the movement of the leopard has not been detected so far.

Search operation in search of leopard

Forest department officials were reported to leopard sightings near the Collectorate’s residential complex on Friday evening. After this, on Saturday and Sunday, the forest department conducted a search operation in search of leopard. It is being told that during this time, the forest workers saw a leopard as well as a tiger in dense thickets.  At the same time, forest staff around the bushes are alerted the locals.

Late Sunday and early Monday, people informed the forest officials about the Leopard Movement in Police Line and 46th Corps PAC. At this the forest staff arrived at the PAC and searched. Leopard footprints were found in police line. Subsequently, SI DS Negi along with forest staff along with the police personnel searched the leopard around the police line but it was not found.
