These three railway stations in Uttarakhand to be redeveloped with hi-tech facilities

Tanakpur, Kashipur and Kotdwar railway stations of Uttarakhand will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs 40 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the virtual foundation stone of the redevelopment plan of 554 such railway stations.

Chief Minister Dhami, who participated virtually from the Assembly building in Dehradun on Monday, said that with the redevelopment of these three railway stations, along with providing rail connectivity to the Kumaon region, people will also be able to get state-of-the-art facilities at the stations.

He said that, under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we are moving towards the golden era of Indian Railways is being prepared to meet the aspirations of the new India and the expectations of a self-reliant India. Today while on one hand railways have been made safer than ever by eliminating unmanned rail crossings from broad gauge railway lines, the speed of Indian Railways has also increased more than before, he added.

He said that, Made in India trains like Vande Bharat are becoming a part of the rail network as a symbol of self-reliance and modernity. The work of connecting the untouched parts of the country with the rail network is also going on at a fast pace. Today the dream of taking trains to the mountains is going to come true in Uttarakhand. Due to the foresight and clear vision of PM, today more than 50 percent work of Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line has been completed.
