Massive protests erupt in North East Delhi

Violence erupted again today in Jafrabad, Delhi, over citizenship law and NRC. Two people including a policeman have died in the violence. In view of the clash between CAA supporters and opponents, Section 144 has been implemented in 10 districts of the capital. Police said that all these incidents took place within an area of ​​six to eight kilometers.

Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has informed that the situation is now under control. According to information received from sources, so far the death of a policeman has been confirmed. The gathering of more than a thousand people indicates that this was a well-planned conspiracy. This afternoon the situation was very tense in many places, but now the situation remains normal.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that all government and private schools will remain closed in the violence-hit area in the North Eastern District of Delhi. He said, “I have spoken to Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal regarding the board examination in the district, they will be postponed”.

Death of a man in Bhajanpura

One person has died during a clash between two groups in Bhajanpura area of ​​Delhi. Earlier today, a head constable of Delhi Police lost his life in a similar clash in Gokulpuri area.

These metro stations also closed

The entry and exit gates of Udyog Bhavan, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat and Janpath Metro Station have also been closed due to security reasons. Now the interchange facility will be available from the Central Secretariat Station.

Heavy police force deployed

Senior officers are present on the spot to keep an eye on the situation, heavy police force has been deployed at sensitive places. Central paramilitary forces have been provided to Delhi Police who are helping to control the situation.
