New Zealand complete 3-0 whitewash over India in ODI’s
The Indian team, which completed a 5-0 clean sweep over New Zealand in the T20 series, handed India a taste of their own medicine with a clean sweep in the 3-match ODI series. The last match of the 3-match ODI series between India and host New Zealand was played at Mount Maunganui, which New Zealand won by 5 wickets and won the series 3–0. Now a 2-match Test series will be played between the two countries.
In the last ODI of the series, New Zealand team captain Kane Williamson won the toss and decided to bowl first. In such a situation, batting first, the Indian team scored 296 runs losing 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. For Team India, KL Rahul top scored with 112 runs, Shreyas Iyer 62, Manish Pandey 42 and Prithvi Shaw scored 40 runs. Hamish Bennett took 4 wickets for the Kiwi team, while Kyle Jamieson and James Neesham got one wicket each.
Chasing a target of 297 runs, New Zealand achieved this target easily by losing 5 wickets in 47.1 overs. New Zealand’s innings, got a good start
Chasing a target of 297 runs, the hosts got off to a good start. Martin Guptill and Henry Nicholls added 50 runs for the team in the first 7 overs. After this Martin Guptill completed his half-century off just 29 balls. However, Guptill was clean bowled by Chahal on a personal score of 66 runs. Henry Nicholls completed his half-century in 72 balls.
The hosts received a second setback in the form of captain Kane Williamson. Williamson scored 22 runs and was caught by Mayank off Chahal. The third shock came in the form of Ross Taylor, who scored 12 runs and was caught out by Jadeja at the hands of Virat. KL Rahul’s century goes in vain

At the same time, captain Virat Kohli scored 9 runs and was caught by Bennett at the hands of Jamieson. India got the third blow as Prithvi Shaw, who was run out after scoring 40 runs off 42 balls.
Shreyas Iyer completed his half-century in 52 balls. This is his third Fifty Plus score in this three-match series. However, on a personal score of 62 runs, he was caught out by James Neesham at the hands of DeGrandhomme. KL Rahul completed his century in 104 balls, which is the fourth century of his ODI career.
