No Tennis Tournaments for 6 weeks

The ATP has postponed the tennis tour for six weeks due to the coronavirus. Due to which there will be no ATP Tour and ATP Challenger Tour tournaments to be held after April 20.

Since the announcement, the BNP Paribas Open, the Miami Open, the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters, Barcelona Open Bank Sabadell and The Hungarian Open in Budapest have been canceled.

The six-week suspension comes due to a warning issued by the World Health Organization on Wednesday due to coronovirus and a 30-day traffic ban by the US.

ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi said, “This is not a decision taken lightly. It causes us to lose a lot of tournaments, players, and fans all over the world. We feel that this time, according to the demand of the time The decision is taken. “

Austalian F1 Grand Prix cancelled

Australia’s Formula 1 Grand Prix has been canceled. Because one member of the McLaren racing team was found positive in the COVID-19 test, which led the team to pull out of the event. In an online statement, Grand Prix Corporation of Australia (AGPC) stated that Formula 1 had decided to postpone its events at the event. It was to be held in Albert Park, Melbourne and it has been canceled all together.

The statement said, “Following this decision and advice from the Head Health Officer of the Victorian Government Department of Human and Health Services in the morning, the Grand Prix Corporation of Australia reported that Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix has been canceled.”

After this, 7 members of the racing teams were also tested and the results of which were negative. Apart from this, another person who is not a member of any racing team has also been tested for virus and the result is being awaited. “For this, the safety of everyone, including our people, our partners, Event Partners and members of the local community is our first priority,” AGPC said.

India-South Africa ODI series called off

Coronavirus has given a big shock to the cricket lovers. Due to this, the date of IPL has already moved forward. Now the ODI series released between India and South Africa has also fallen prey to this virus. This series has now been canceled. The next two matches of the series were to be played in Lucknow and Kolkata.

Due to Coronavirus, it was decided that the remaining two ODIs between India and South Africa will be played in the stadium without spectators. It was also decided that the tickets sold for Lucknow and Kolkata ODI will be withdrawn and money will be returned instead. But by Friday evening all these plans were changed.

A BCCI official said on Friday that there will be no remaining two ODIs between India and South Africa. This series has been canceled due to Corona virus. The match between India and South Africa was to be held in Lucknow on 15 March and Kolkata on 18 March.

No Sachin-Sehwag show

The Road Safety World Series 2020, being organized with the intention of creating awareness among the traffic rules, was canceled due to fear of coronavirus. Earlier it was being said that the remaining matches of this series would be held in the empty stadium without any spectators, but now this tournament has been canceled. A number of guidelines have been issued by the Ministry of Sports regarding the prevention of corona virus, in which it has been said that any game should now be organized without an audience.

After the tournament was canceled, the Indian cricket fans will no longer see Sachin and Sehwag batting together. Both these players were part of the India Legends team. Basketball matches cancelled

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) on Thursday postponed all events under its banner to further notice in view of the growing threat of Coronavirus.
