WHO declares Coronavirus Covid-19 a pandemic

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a worldwide pandemic. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, Covid-19 can be considered a panademic (worldwide epidemic). We have never seen before that a coronavirus can cause an epidemic. So far 1,22,331 cases have been reported in 121 countries, while 4,389 have died. The worst outbreaks are in China, Italy and Iran.

At the same time, in view of the increasing outbreak of Coronavirus, US President Donald Trump has said that the US is going to cancel all travel from Europe for 30 days from Friday (local time). During this time no traffic will be allowed. Britain is not included in this. Coronavirus has also been confirmed in veteran Hollywood actor Tom Hanks, according to news agency AFP.

Earlier in Washington, emergency was declared on Wednesday (local time). It was announced by the Mayor of Washington, Muriel Bowser. So far, 10 Corona cases have been confirmed in Washington.

12 new cases in 24 hours in India

Meanwhile, 12 more cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours in the country. According to the Health Ministry, eight new cases have been found in Kerala, eight each in Delhi and Rajasthan. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has confirmed a total of 10 cases in the state with two new cases in Mumbai. After this, the number of infected patients has increased to 68. The government has suspended tourist visas of all countries till 15 April. There has been 1 death reported in India due to coronavirus. A 76 year old patient lost his life due to this disease.

Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan took this decision in a meeting with a group of ministers on the threat of Covid-19. During this period, apart from all the ministries, the current situation of the states was reviewed. After the meeting, the Health Minister said, the visas have been temporarily suspended. Also, e-visas issued to passengers have also been banned. Advisory has been issued to all the states, those traveling to China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Iran, Malaysia, Thailand, Italy, Japan, France, Germany and Spain have been asked to remain isolated for 14 days at home.

Tamil Nadu Health Minister C Vijay Bhaskar has confirmed the health of the first positive patient in the state. This person came from Oman. After the treatment, the report came back negative. At the same time, three patients have been cured in Kerala. However, a suspected patient died in Kalaburgi, Karnataka, whose investigation report is yet to come.

Ban on entry of international cruise till 31

To prevent the spread of coronavirus, the government has banned the entry of international cruises, crew members and passengers traveling to the affected countries after March 1, 2020, until March 31. The Ministry of Shipping said on Wednesday, “Only those international cruises that are reported to arrive at Indian ports by January 1, 2020 and those cruises that will have thermal screening facilities for the crew and passengers.”

All tourist visas suspended in the country till 15 April

India on Wednesday suspended all tourist visas till 15 April. According to an official statement released in this regard, the government has taken this step to stop the spread of coronavirus in the country. According to the statement, this decision was taken in a meeting of the Group of Ministers chaired by Health Minister Harsh Vardhan.

Dell and Mindtree employees test positive

Meanwhile, two employees of IT company Dell and Mindtree have also been found infected with Corona. The two companies said in separate statements that Dell employees had returned from the US, during which he had also traveled to Texas. 83 passengers were taken from Italy to Manesar

These include 900 Indian citizens. The ministry has also advised people not to travel abroad on a non-essential basis due to corona infection.

Thailand revoked visa for 18 countries including India

Thailand has suspended the visa on arrival facility for people coming from 18 countries including India. These other countries include Bhutan, Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria, China and other countries. Apart from this, the work of granting visas to citizens of three other countries has been stopped. Visa waivers to Italy, Hong Kong and South Korea have been canceled. Qatar and Kuwait have also banned the arrival of citizens of many countries including India before Thailand.

All schools, universities and cinemas closed for 14 days in Poland

The Government of Poland has ordered the closure of all schools, universities, cinema, theater and museum for two weeks from Thursday. This step has been taken to prevent the spread of corona infection. So far 26 cases of infection have been reported in the country. He told that the country is facing a difficult situation and now it has become even more difficult given the condition of Italy. He advised people to use public traffic sparingly.
