Srinagar medical college gets approval to conduct Covid-19 tests

The corona samples will now also be examined in the main center set up by the government for the Covid 19 medical college for Garhwal. For which approval has been received from PGI Chadigarh and ICMR for tests in Corona Lab of Srinagar Medical College. With this, the corona sample investigation of the suspect from Garhwal region will be conducted at the Srinagar Medical College. This will save time and budget of administration and health department.

Principal of the Government Medical College, Dr. CMS Rawat said that approval has been given for the corona examination sample in the Corona Testing Lab established in the Medical College. Now the corona sample will be examined in the medical college lab itself. It is known that a few days ago a five-member team led by the Department of Microbiology from the Srinagar Medical College went to PGI Chandigarh for training.

The investigative lab at Srinagar Medical College was inaugurated by Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat , State Minister (Independent Charge). After which some samples from PGI were sent here for investigation. The PGI has approved the center after the sample investigation was found to be correct.
