Uttarakhand coronavirus update 24 April: 1 positive case from Haldwani

In Uttarakhand, even after completing the 14-day quarantine period, there are cases of corona infection. Corona has been confirmed on the 17th day of quarantine in a 40-year-old man from Haldwani, after which the number of corona-infected patients has reached 48. At the same time, on Friday, another corona-infected person was discharged from the hospital. So far, a total of 25 people have become healthy in the state. There are currently 23 active cases of corona, who are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.

Director General of Health Dr. Amita Upreti said that a Haldwani resident, who was found corona positive, had come in contact with a patient earlier. In view of this, on April 8, he was placed in the quarantine facility. On 9 April, his sample was examined and sent for investigation, the report of which came negative. He was re-examined after 14 days of institutional quarantine. On Friday, his report came positive. That is, Corona is confirmed in it on the 17th day. Earlier, corona was confirmed in a laborer from Hathras in Haridwar district too many days later. She said that so far a total of 4767 samples have been sent to the lab for examination, out of which 4239 reports have been found to be negative and 48 positive. Along with this, the investigation report of 327 samples is being awaited.

Highest number of 361 samples examined so far

The scope of investigation is increasing continuously in the state. On Friday, 361 sample reports were received from Haldwani Medical College, AIIMS Rishikesh and a private lab. There are 360 ​​negative and one positive. This is the most investigation done in a day so far. Earlier, on April 19, 336 samples were examined. The corona investigation will also begin at Doon Medical College from Saturday. After which the investigation and speed will increase.

On Friday, 246 more samples have been sent to the state for investigation, out of which 92 samples are from Haridwar district. At the same time, 82 samples from Udham Singh Nagar, 40 from Nainital and 32 samples from Dehradun have been sent to investigate the corona. Apart from this, 39 samples were sent from private labs.

11 hotspots in the state

Currently there are 11 corona hotspots in Uttarakhand. The maximum seven of these hotspots are in Dehradun district. Apart from this, three hotspots are in Haridwar and one district Nainital. Surveillance, sanitization, etc. are being done intensively under the Containment Plan here.
