Dates announced for remaining CBSE Board Exams

New dates for the 10th and 12th CBSE board examinations postponed due to the ongoing lockdown have been announced. Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank gave information about the CBSE board examination thorugh a tweet. According to the board’s April 29 tweet, the examination will be held for only 29 subjects out of the 83 subjects postponed.

Union Minister Nishank said on Friday- long awaited the date of remaining examinations of CBSE 10th and 12th, today the date of these examinations has been fixed between 1.07.2020 to 15.07.2020. I convey my best wishes to all the students who participated in this examination.

 

The CBSE board clarified in a tweet on 29 April that it will now conduct examinations only for the core subjects which will be required for promotion and for admission to higher educational institutions. The board will not conduct the examination for the remaining subjects. In all such cases, the Board will issue separate instructions for evaluation.

On 29 April, the CBSE board officials had said that if the government gives them 10 to 12 days, then the board will conduct the remaining main subjects examinations of class 12. The CBSE secretary had also sought permission for evaluation of answer sheets from the government in keeping with social distancing.

10th exam only for North East Delhi students

Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank also updated about CBSE’s 10th board exam three days ago. He had said that except for the students of North-East Delhi, no examination will be conducted for the students of 10th standard in the country.

The Minister of Human Resource Development made it clear that 10th board examinations have been conducted in all states. The remaining 10th board exam in north-east Delhi will be conducted as soon as possible. He said that for this, students will be given necessary information 10 days before the exam date so that they can get enough time for preparation.
