Delhi sees spike in Corona cases; 472 new cases recorded on 14th May
The biggest jump in coronavirus cases has come to the fore in the capital Delhi. A total of 472 new cases have been reported in Delhi in the last 24 hours, with this the total number of cases has reached 8470. In the capital, the effect of coronavirus is increasing continuously and the number of cases is increasing steadily in the last few days.
According to new figures released by the Delhi government, the total number of corona cases in Delhi has now reached 8470. A total of 472 cases were reported in the last 24 hours, while 187 people have been cured. So far, 3045 people in Delhi have been cured by beating the Corona virus.
The silver lining is that in the last 24 hours, there has been no death due to coronavirus in Delhi. The government has however, added some old deaths to the total figures. With this, the total number of deaths due to corona virus in Delhi has increased to 115.
There are a total of 5310 active cases of corona virus in the capital, while more than 1 lakh 19 thousand tests have been conducted.
On Thursday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal gave information about the lockdown while facing the public. Arvind Kejriwal said that the government has received nearly five lakh suggestions from the public for regarding relaxation in lockdown.
By this evening, the Delhi government will give suggestions to the Union Government regarding relaxation in lockdown. After which the central government will decide on it. The lockdown 3.0 period in the country is ending on May 17, while from May 18, lockdown 4.0 will be implemented in a new way.
