Lockdown 4.0: Zonewise district of Uttarakhand

No district in Red Zone in Uttarakhand

In Lockdown 4.0, the central government has given the authority to decide the red, green and orange zones on the basis of corona infection to the state government. Due to this, today the government has excluded Haridwar district from the Red Zone.

Seven patients of corona infection were reported in Haridwar district. After the recovery of the seventh patient on Sunday, there is not a single corona infected patient left in the district where last case was reported on 18 April. Due to this, now the government has also included Haridwar in the Green Zone.

So far, on the basis of corona infected cases, the red, green and orange zones of the districts were decided by the central government. There are different standards set for determining zones. This includes the rate of infection, recovery rate of patients, surveillance, sample examination.

From now on, which district is to be kept in which zone it will be decided by the state government. But for this it will be necessary to follow the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar said that now there are only green and orange zones in the state. There are now 93 corona infected patients in the state. Out of which 52 patients have been cured. The government’s effort is to keep the situation under control over Corona.
