Uttarakhand Corona update 02 May: 1 positive case; 2 patients cured

A truck driver was found corona positive in the Udham Singh Nagar district on Saturday. The truck driver is originally from Bahedi UP and had returned with a corona positive youth from Maharashtra.

With this, the number of corona patients in the state has reached 59. Earlier on Friday night, corona virus was also confirmed in AIIMS intern doctor. Additional secretary health Yugal Kishore Pant said that the total number of corona positive patients in the state has reached 59. On Saturday, a total of 240 samples were reported from AIIMS Rishikesh, Haldwani Medical College, Doon Medical College and Private Lab, out of which corona virus has been confirmed in one patient.

Two more corona patients admitted to State Doon Medical Hospital have recovered. One of them is from Bhagat Singh Colony of the city and the other is from Doiwala.

Doctors are taking necessary action to discharge both of them from the hospital. Both have been advised by doctors to stay home quarantined for 14 days. At the same time, the total number of positive cases in the state has reached 59. Out of which 39 patients have been cured.

In the health bulletin released by Uttarakhand State Control room Covid-19 it has been mentioned that a resident of Dehradun went for treatment in Apollo Hospital, New Delhi on dated 28th April 2020, he was there till 30th April 2020. Hospital authorities tested him for COVID-19 and he tested Positive on dated 30th April 2020. He was discharged by Apollo Hospital, New Delhi without due COVID-19 protocol. Now the patient has returned home to
Dehradun and IDSP unit Dehradun has admitted the patient in AIIMS Rishikesh on 02nd May 2020.
