Asteroid bigger than Empire State building to fly past Earth on June 6

Coronavirus in the air, Earthquakes on land, Cyclones in the seas and now asteroid in the sky. The year 2020 just keeps on throwing nature’s fury on mankind. The space agency NASA (NASA) has identified an Asteroid that is moving rapidly towards the Earth. The agency said in its alert that one half a kilometer bigger is coming fast towards the Earth. Its speed is about 5.2 kilometers per second.

According to the report of the Daily Star, this asteroid will enter the Earth’s orbit on 6 June. It’s size is greater than the Empire State Building of America. NASA has named this asteroid rock-163348 (2002 NN4) and it is expected that it will pass very close to the Earth’s surface on June 6. Its possible length is 250-570 meters and width is 135 meters.

On May 21, too, a 1.5 km large meteorite had passed very close to the Earth. Scientists say that this asteroid is not likely to collide with the earth, but it is important to keep an eye on it because sometimes due to gravity, such objects may enter the earth’s atmosphere at the last moment.

According to NASA, the rock-163348 (2002 NN4) body will pass near the Earth at 8:20 am on Sunday. An asteroid body so large from so close to the Earth will only pass after this in 2024. Its speed is 5.2 km per second, ie this meteorite is coming at a speed of 11,200 miles per hour.
