Heavy rain forecast for Nainital & Pithoragarh

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in Nainital and Pithoragarh districts for the next two days. Whereas all districts including Dehradun are predicted to get light to moderate rains. On Saturday, the climate was humid throughout the state with cloudy skies.

In the mountainous areas, there was light rain in many areas. The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.5 degree Celsius during the day in the capital. According to the Meteorological Department, the process of rain will continue for the next few days.

Pithoragarh and Nainital districts may receive heavy rains for two days. Whereas on June 29, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Dehradun. According to Meteorological Director Bikram Singh, on June 28, thunderstorms are expected to reach moderate levels in many places of Dehradun, Nainital, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, Pauri, Champawat and Almora districts.

Light rain in many places including Dehradun

At the same time, light rain may occur in the remaining districts. On June 29, thunderstorms may occur in most places of the state. On June 28 and 29, heavy rain is expected in Nainital and Pithoragarh districts.

Thunderstorms may occur at several places in Pithoragarh, Nainital, Bageshwar, Dehradun, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Uttarkashi and Pauri on June 30 and July 1. Whereas in the remaining districts, there is a possibility of rain in some places. Meanwhile, on June 30, heavy rains are expected in Dehradun, Nainital and Pithoragarh districts.
