Total corona cases in Uttarakhand crosses 1300
On Saturday, 89 cases of corona infection were reported in Uttarakhand. After which the total number of infected patients in the state has increased to 1303. Of which 423 have been cured. Today, four cases have been reported in Almora, 12 in Dehradun, seven in Nainital, nine in Tehri, four in Bageshwar, six in Chamoli and Champawat, 21 in Haridwar, 16 in Pithoragarh, three in Udham Singh Nagar and one in Uttarkashi.
The cases of corona infection in the capital Dehradun are increasing steadily. On Saturday, four staff nurses of a private hospital were found corona positive.
304 Corona returned home after recovering in five days
In the last five days, 304 corona-infected patients have returned to their homes in Uttarakhand. Due to this, the state’s recovery rate has doubled. Although the rate of testing in the state has come down from around 1000 per day to a little over 550 per day. Dehradun, Nainital and Tehri districts still have the most active cases. As per the health bulletin issued on 6 June at 2 P.M results of over 6200 samples is awaited.
Sanitization drive in Dehradun
Dehradun Nagar Nigam on Saturday sprayed sanitizer in fifty wards to prevent corona virus infection and prevent it from spreading at the community level. Fire Brigade was used to sanitize clocktower- the iconic landmark of Dehradun in the presence of Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, Municipal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey.
In this campaign, 3.10 lakh liters of sanitizer was sprayed. On Saturday morning, in addition to about 56 tractors from the Municipal Corporation, four fire brigade vehicles went out of the Municipal Corporation for sanitizer to fifty wards of the city.
During this period, anti-infection medicine was sprayed in public places, ward mohallas, roads, streets, commercial establishments. 56 tractors / tankers and four fire brigade vehicles were deployed for sanitation.
