Rising Corona cases cause of concern in the US ahead of 4th of July

In the US, the rise of Coronavirus cases has become a matter of concern before American Independence Day on July 4. According to the report, 40 to 50 states of the country are registering a steady increase in confirmed cases. A total of 25,000 new cases were reported on Thursday in four US states Arizona, California, Florida and Texas. At the same time, more than 50,000 new cases are coming to the country every day. “We have seen a very disturbing week,” Dr. Anthony Fauci, the top specialist in infectious disease in America, said on the US physicians’ association’s livestream.

The seriousness of the situation can be gauged by the fact that Greg Abbott, the Republican governor of Texas, who has so far refused to enforce the rule of wearing masks, has ordered people to wear masks. The reason for these growing cases is believed to be lack of wearing masks and not creating social distance for American citizens after the removal of the lockdown. Fauci cautioned that if people did not start to agree, “we may fall into some serious problems.”

According to John Hopkins University, there were 51,200 new cases in the US on Wednesday. According to data compiled by the Covid Tracking Project, new cases have increased rapidly in the last 14 days in all the states except 10. The condition is extremely bad in Arizona, Texas and Florida. Apart from California, bars, restaurants and theaters have also been closed again for the past few weeks. Outside of the Northeast, only Nebraska and South Dakota have had fewer Covid-19 cases. At the same time cases have increased three times in Nevada and five times in Idaho.

Matters are increasing in the US at a time when the country is moving towards celebrating Independence Day on July 4. In view of this, health officials have warned that due to the large number of people gathered and celebrating, the virus cases can increase rapidly. Many civic bodies have canceled fireworks shows. In California and Florida, the beach will remain closed.

Meanwhile, according to a government report, the unemployment rate in the US has come down to 11.1 percent, due to the creation of 48 lakh jobs. According to John Hopkins, about 27 lakh cases of Covid-19 in the world have been reported in the US. At the same time, 1,28,000 people have lost their lives. Around 17 million cases of Covid-19 have been reported worldwide and 5,17,000 people have lost their lives.
