Has Corona peaked in India? Health Ministry gives its opinion
There has been a sharp increase in the cases of Coronavirus infection in the country in the last few days. But new cases of infection have been decreasing since last 5 days. There has also been a steady decrease in mortality. In such a situation, now there is speculation that the peak of Corona in the country is over.
In a press conference held by the Health Ministry on Tuesday, Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that the number of infected patients is decreasing continuously in the country. On whether or not the peak situation has reached in the country regarding Corona, Rajesh Bhushan said, ‘We do not trust much of the mathematical model, we do not focus on peak. The Government of India is focused on having better containers, Our focus is more testing and better treatment.’
According to the data released by the Ministry of Health, on the 13th of this month, the number of corona patients is steadily decreasing after the detection of 66 thousand 999 corona infection cases within 24 hours.
– On August 14, 64 thousand 553 new patients of corona infection appeared while 1007 patients died.
– On August 15, 65 thousand 2 new cases of infection came while 996 patients died.
– Talking about August 16, 63 thousand 490 new cases of infection came while 944 patients died.
– On August 17, 57 thousand 981 new cases of infection were reported while 941 patients died.
– August 18 means that today, in the last 24 hours, 55 thousand 79 new cases of corona infection were reported, while 876 patients died.
According to the Health Secretary, on an average 8 lakh 8 thousand corona sample tests are being conducted every day. Total recovery cases have exceeded 19 lakh 77 thousand. The active cases are left at 24.91 percent. The Health Secretary said that we are testing more and more every day. Rajesh Bhushan said that people who have recovered from Corona are helping as volunteers.
The head of NITI Aayog, Empowered Group, Dr. VK Paul said that people still need to be more careful. People should not be careless. The better care a patient takes in this disease, the better they will be.
He said that the vaccine is developing in our country. One is in the second stage and two in the first and second phase. He said that the vaccine testing is moving in the right direction. This is the mission of the country. The progress that has been made so far is good.
