India to host T20 world cup 2021, Australia to host in 2022
In the ICC meeting held on Friday, it has been decided to organize the 2021 T20 World Cup in India. The 2022 T20 World Cup will be held in Australia. At the same time, 2023 ODI World Cup will be held in India as per schedule. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and Head of Cricket Australia were also involved in this ICC meeting.
In any case, the BCCI wanted to organize the T20 World Cup in 2021. Actually, it has to organize the ODI World Cup in 2023. If the BCCI had to organize the 2022 T20 World Cup, then having two World Cups in a year would not be feasible.
Such is the schedule
The T20 World Cup to be held in India will be played in October-November next year. The final of this tournament has been decided on 14 November. The T20 World Cup -2022 to be played in Australia will also be played in October-November, while the final will be held on 13 November.
