Pak releases new map claiming Indian territories; India terms it ridiculous

After the map dispute between India and Nepal, Pakistan has now adopted a similar tactic. Pakistan has released a new political map in which it has claimed Ladakh, Siachen in Jammu and Kashmir as well as Junagadh in Gujarat. However, the Indian government has termed this claim of Pakistan as ridiculous.

The Indian government reacted to this by saying, ‘We have seen the alleged political map of Pakistan which Prime Minister Imran Khan has released. Such illegal and unsupportable claims on the Indian state of Gujarat and our Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. To do so is political stupidity. ‘

The Government of India stated, ‘These ridiculous claims have neither legal validity nor international credibility. In fact, this new effort only confirms Pakistan’s stance on a regional movement backed by cross-border terrorism. Please tell that this map was released by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan during a meeting on Tuesday.’

Pakistan has taken this step before August 5, when the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir will complete one year. In the map, Pakistan has also described Siachen in its share. Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi claimed that India has made illegal construction here. According to the information, Pakistan is preparing to present this map to the United Nations.

According to a BBC report, while presenting this map, Imran Khan said, ‘The new political map of Pakistan represents the aspirations of the people of Pakistan. Pakistan supports the ideological ideology of the people of Kashmir. This political map denies the illegal step that India took in Kashmir on August 5 last year.’
