Total corona case count crosses 8000 in Uttarakhand

There is no relief news even today in Uttarakhand as more than 200 cases were again found in a single day in Uttarakhand. According to the Health Bulletin issued from the Health Department, 208 people have been found corona infected in the state of Uttarakhand. After which the number of Corona infected people has increased to 8008 in the state. So far, 4847 Corona infected people have been cured in the state of Uttarakhand.
On Tuesday, August 4, maximum cases were found in Udham Singh Nagar district (63). Apart from this cases were found in Dehradun (48), Pithoragarh (32), Haridwar (23), Nainital (10), Champawat (10), Uttarkashi (8), Almora (3), Tehri (3) and Rudraprayag (1).
Uttarakhand falling behind national average in Corona testing
Despite the rapid spread of corona infection in Uttarakhand, the pace of testing is still low. The corona testing in the state is six percent less than the national average. Oddly enough, districts that have a large population and cases are increasing day by day. Less samples are also being investigated there. Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar are examples of this.
Haridwar has the highest share in the state’s population of approximately 1.25 crore, but the pace of test is the lowest (per lakh population) in this district with the most population. Currently this average is 1075. In Udham Singh Nagar, 1174 samples have been tested per one lakh population. At the same time, in less populated districts like Champawat, Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag, the speed of testing is better according to the population of one lakh. Its average in Champawat is 2461. While Uttarkashi is in second place. The situation is also better in Dehradun. There are 1769 investigations per one lakh population.
