Uttarakhand Corona update 16 September: Over 1500 Corona cases found

In Uttarakhand, 1540 new corona-infected patients have been found on Wednesday and nine have died. The total number of infected in the state is 35947. In this, more than 24 thousand patients have been cured.

According to the Health Department, in the last 24 hours, results of 12075 samples have come. 10535 samples were found negative in it. While 1540 people have been found corona positive in the testing. Dehradun district has the highest number of 429 corona patients. 363 in Haridwar district, 246 in Udham Singh Nagar, 118 in Nainital, 97 in Almora, 84 in Bageshwar, 55 in Pithoragarh, 51 in Pauri, 47 in Uttarkashi, 31 in Chamoli, 12 in Tehri, 7 in Rudraprayag district due to corona infection.

Nine corona patients have died in 24 hours in the state. Seven patients at AIIMS Rishikesh, two patients at Sushila Tiwari Medical College, Haldwani, Damatora. Now the death toll has risen to 447. At the same time, 1192 patients have been cured. Together, 24277 patients have been cured, while 11068 are active patients.

1.37 percent infection rate in 16 days

The speed with which corona patients are increasing in Unlock-4 is alarming for a hill state like Uttarakhand. The infection rate is also increasing accordingly. From September 1 this month, the infection rate has increased by 1.37 percent on the basis of sample testing. The infection rate was 5.40 percent on 1 September, which has increased to 6.77 percent on 16 September

Patients growing at double speed

Corona infected patients are increasing in the state at double the speed. In the last 20 days, more than five and a half thousand active patients have increased in the state. Currently this number is going to reach 11 thousand. Newly infected cases are being found more than the recovering patients.
