Uttarakhand witnesses record spike of 836 corona cases
Corona’s graph setting new records in Uttarakhand daily. A record 836 cases have been reported in the state on Wednesday, while 11 have died. The maximum 220 cases of corona have been reported from Haridwar. Apart from this, 184 in Dehradun, 112 in Udham Singh Nagar, 97 in Nainital, 42 in Tehri Garhwal, 34 in Almora, 32 each in Pauri and Rudraprayag, 31 in Uttarkashi, 28 in Pithoragarh, 12 in Champawat, 7 in Chamoli and 5 have been found in Bageshwar. At the same time, 425 patients have recovered. The number of corona infections in the state has increased to 21234, out of which 14437 have become healthy. At present 6442 cases are active, while 291 have died. Apart from this, 64 patients have gone out of the state. Also, reports of 15868 samples are awaited.
Facility of antibody test in AIIMS
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh has the facility of antibody test in patients suffering from Covid-19. Along with this, a population screening test has also been started to ascertain the actual status of Covid patients in the institute.
Municipal corporation will remain closed for two days
The office of the Municipal Corporation will remain closed for the public for two days. Corporation’s IT officer has been found to be Corona positive. The municipal office has been closed on the orders of the city commissioner. Sanitization will be done here for two days. However, the office will remain open to personnel.
Corona infects crossed 20 thousand in Uttarakhand
The havoc of Corona in Uttarakhand has not stopped. On Tuesday, 571 new cases of corona were found in the state. After this, the total number of infected has increased to 20398. The severity of the situation can be gauged from the fact that it took 149 days for the number of infected to reach ten thousand and in the next 22 days the figure has crossed twenty thousand. If the test is estimated in terms of current average, recovery rate and infection rate, the total number of infected can reach 40 thousand by the end of September.
Corona resurfaces in Secretariat
Eight offices had to be closed at the Secretariat due to Corona on Tuesday. At the same time, the Secretary Chief Minister and Energy Radhika Jha has gone into self-isolation after an officer belonging to Energy Department was found to be corona infected. Corona resurfaced at the secretariat on Tuesday. The office of Secretary Energy, both sections of Energy, the office of a Deputy Secretary was closed after an Energy Department official was found to be corona infected. For the first time in the Secretariat, eight offices have been closed due to Corona in a single day.
