PM Modi inaugurates oxygen plant at AIIMS Rishikesh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Uttarakhand today. PM Modi inaugurated oxygen plant at AIIMS Rishikesh. The Prime Minister also inaugurated about 35 oxygen plants installed in medical colleges and hospitals across the country through virtual medium from AIIMS. The capacity of this oxygen plant is 1000 liters. Overall, now if needed, there will be a supply of life air for the country from Rishikesh.
PM Modi said that twenty years ago I got the responsibility as the Chief Minister of Gujarat on this day itself. It is my privilege to be here on the land which has given me affection. Coming here gives you a new energy. He said that where the power of Yoga and Ayurveda has found a solution to make life healthy, today oxygen plants across the country have been started from there. The Prime Minister said that Uttarakhand is soon going to complete 100 percent of the first dose phase of vaccine against corona.
The PM said that with the formation of oxygen, its transportation is also difficult. Most of the oxygen production takes place in eastern India. But during the second wave, North and West India were in need of oxygen the most. Today every district of the country has its own PSA oxygen plant.
The Prime Minister said in normal days, India used to produce 900 metric tons of liquid medical oxygen a day. As the demand increased, India increased the production of medical oxygen by more than 10 times. He added that this was an unimaginable goal for any country in the world, but India has achieved it.
The Prime Minister remarked that it is a matter of pride for every Indian that 93 crore doses of corona vaccine have been administered. Very soon India will cross the 100 crore mark. He said India has shown the way to the whole world by building the Cowin platform that shows how vaccination is done on such a large scale.
