Kedarnath portals to close on November 16
The Kedarnath Yatra of this season is nearing towards the closure for the winter months. On November 16, on the occasion of Bhai Dooj the portals will be closed for the winter season. In this situation, the heli service and horse mule operators operating here have now started returning.
Both facilities are available in limited numbers. At the same time, pilgrims and traders residing in Kedarnath have also started returning. Due to Corona infection, this time when the doors opened on April 29, the ceremony was completed without the devotees but pilgrims are expected this time round when the doors are closed.
Though rules like social distancing and masks will be followed, but everyone wants to join the yatra of the palanquin fromKedarnath to Ukhimath.
At the same time, preparations are being made to close the portals of the temple in Kedardham. Chief priest Shiva Shankar Linga said that Baba Kedar was worshiped on the festival of Deepawali. The temple is decorated with flowers. Preparations are also being made for the Doli Yatra. Most of the heli services operated here are also returning.
