Kedarnath portals open sans devotees

Lord Kedarnath Dham door were opened for summer at 10 minutes past 6 this morning. After this, the worship of Baba Kedar for the next six months will be done in the Dham itself. At the time of the opening of the Kedarnath shrine, only 16 people, including the priest, attended the puja. Along with this, social distancing was also taken care of.

There was special worship in the temple from 3 o’clock in the morning. All other religious ceremonies were completed with the Samadhi Puja of Baba by the chief priest. After this, the doors of the Kedarnath temple were opened at 6:10 am on the scheduled time.

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat congratulated all those present for opening the doors of Lord Kedarnath and said that Baba Kedar should keep his grace on all of us. With the blessings of Baba Kedar, we will surely be able to defeat this global pandemic of Corona. This time due to corona, the common people could not come to see the opening of the portals. He said, ‘we all have immense reverence for Baba Kedar. We wish that Baba Kedar, keeps affection on devotees’.

NP Jamaloki, the executive officer of Devasthanam Board, said that a four-foot-wide path has been created by cutting snow from the confluence to the temple complex.

Due to the ongoing lockdown to protect against the coronavirus infection, this time common devotees will not be able to witness the inauguration.

The doors of Kedarnath Dham have opened on Wednesday. The Dham is decorated with beautiful flowers.

Satish who was incharge of flower decorations at Kedarnath told that the temple is decorated in a grand manner with 10 quintal flowers. Every year, they also decorate the Badrinath temple.

Prasad will be sent by post to devotees

He got the privilege of decorating the Kedarnath temple for the first time. Here, media in-charge of Uttarakhand Chardham Devasthanam Board, Harish Chandra Gaur, told that in view of the seriousness of Corona, a limited number of board personnel, Hakukdhari Tirtha Purohit and people of administration have been allowed to visit Kedarnath Dham.

The Devasthanam board had received one million online bookings before the lockdown for the inauguration of Kedarnath Dham. All these bookings were done for Mahabhishek Puja and Rudrabhishek Puja, but due to the lockdown, devotees will not be able to go to Dham. The media in-charge of the board, Dr. Harish Chandra Gaur, said that prayers will be offered on behalf of the bookings received online and Prasad will be sent by post.

Kedarnath sans devotees

The ongoing lockdown to protect against corona infection has kept the Kedarnath Yatra has limited the Yatra to the traditional aspect. From Rudraprayag to Kedarghati, there is silence in the markets and dham. The business is completely destroyed.

In the Yatra, business worth millions has been done from flowers, worship items, tea shop, dhaba, hotel, restaurant, Dharamshala / lodge, restaurant, water / juice, parking, puncture, prasad etc. But this time in Kedarnath Dham there are 35 people from the Board of Administration, Police and Devasthanam.
