Nainital to host Winter Carnival from December 26 to 30
To promote winter tourism and adventure sports in Uttarakhand, the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council and Nainital District Administration have started preparations for Winter Carnival. Winter Carnival will be held at many places including Nainital, Bhimtal, Kotabagh, Satatal and Pangot from 26 to 30 December.
In the five-day competition, cross country and paragliding competitions will be the main attraction. Which will be organized in Kotabagh region. Other activities will include Hot Air Balloon Ride, Para Motoring, MTB Rally, ATV Rally, Heritage Walk & Village Tour, Trekking, Zip Line, Rock Climbing, Wrapping, Flower Show.
Bird watching workshop will be held in Pangot and Sat Tal. There will be kayaking, wall painting and boat races in Bhimtal, astro photography, boat decorations and half marathon in Nainital.
Tourism to be promoted to increase self-employment
Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that the organization of adventure sports will promote the resettlement of tourism affected by the Covid epidemic. This will create self-employment opportunities. The state will get a new identity by organizing adventure games.
