Air services between India and UK to begin from January 8

Airlines between India and Britain will resume from 8 January. The Civil Aviation Minister said on Friday that the two countries would fly 15 flights every week by January 23. Due to the new strain of Corona virus in Britain, the central government had suspended all the flights to and from there till 31 December. After the arrival of Corona’s new strain in Britain, the whole of Europe had separated itself from Britain and many countries had also stopped their air services.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation had said, the Government of India has decided that all flights to and from Britain to India have been temporarily suspended till 11:59 pm, 31 December. But now the government has announced to resume the airline from Britain. However, it will start seven days later on January 8. Till then flight services remain suspended.

The movement of aircraft from Germany, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Bulgaria, the Irish Republic, Turkey and Canada to Britain in the midst of the rapid spread of a new ‘highly infectious’ strain of corona virus in some parts of Britain was suspended. After the embargo, France also decided to close its borders for Britain. At the same time, other countries and regions that have suspended travel to the UK include Hong Kong, Israel, Iran, Croatia, Argentina, Morocco, Chile and Kuwait. In the UK, a strict level 4 lockdown has been implemented and all unnecessary travel and events are banned.
