After this, his family immediately admitted him to the Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata.

48-year-old Sourav Ganguly underwent angioplasty. The Woodlands Hospital issued a statement giving good news, ‘Sourav Ganguly’s condition is now stable. Ganguly underwent angioplasty after which a stent was inserted into the veins of the heart. At the moment, Sourav Ganguly is perfectly fine. Thanks to God.’

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Sourav Ganguly’s wife over the phone and inquired about Ganguly’s health. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee went to the hospital to enquire about the health of Ganguly. After meeting the former cricketer, Mamta said that he is doing well.

Blockage was critical

The health of BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is still stable. Dr. Aftab Khan, who treated him at the Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata, said that Sourav Ganguly has undergone angioplasty. His health is still stable. He will be monitored for 24 hours. He is fully conscious. There were two blockages in his heart. The CEO of Woodlands Hospital, Dr. Rupali Basu and Dr. Saroj Mandal said that there were blockages in his heart, which were ‘critical’. It is a matter of relief that his health is stable.
